You know God really does just give you as much as you can handled. Today began

rather badly. The kid woke up early and then began to make his noises/stimi and

then refused to speak. UGH!! We had a birthday party for my best friend's son

and I texted her before we got there that we may not be able to stay long as it

looked like it was going to be a really bad day.

I was so wrong. By the time we got there he was talking to me again. I got to

spend a good chunk of time with a couple who has an autistic child and had been

in the TriCare system and told me about a program called ECHO, which he should

qualify for and a HUGE center not terribly far away that has a full spectrum of

services specifically for autistics. I'm so excited. I can't wait for Monday to

be here!

The center is called the Center in Columbia, MO for anyone around here.

Yes the person who told me about it recently retired and had lost the services

for her son. Thankfully his dad enetered late and should be in till the kid

graduates. Was it difficult to get in?

Becky,

We used ECHO for our son. The biggest thing I can advise you on, utilize every

thing they offer your child, once you retire out of the services you do not get

ECHO anymore.
