cold sores

Hello,

I have had 3 doses of MTX. Last week I got a " cold sore " . I

have been getting these " cold sores " since I was 13. (Psoriasis

started at age 11.) My " cold sore " is actually on my face. It

looks like a huge chicken pox. Sometimes it is low on my cheek

and sometimes high - right under my eye. Always on the left side

of my face. I get them when I am under stress or sick.

Sometimes they are mild with very little pain, sometimes they are

extremely painful. This last one has been very painful with

shooting sharp pain in my head and ear on the left side. The

kind of pain that stops you dead in your tracks. It is not

constant, it feels like a knife has jabbing me and then it is

gone. My glands swell and I feel sick. It is a herpes virus. I

am wondering if the MTX brought this newest one on. Do any of you

have anything like this. I am also wondering if any of you have

any history of Mono? I also get terrible pain in my jaws.

Sometimes it is difficult to chew. The pain is again very sharp

like a knife. Anyone else have any of these going on?
