Guest guest
Hi Judy I tests positive to the Rheumatoid Factor, Systemic Lupus, also have Raynauds, Fibro, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, High Cholesterol and a presently benign blood problem. I have no intentions of dying from any of it and am on NO drugs for any of it. Yes some of us do have overlapping conditions. One member called me 'autoimmune city' and she was right. However it does NOT work like that. Far better I think to have an assortment of various connective tissue conditions than have a full blown one. Sounds strange but when my conditions try and fight each other, rather than attack me, which is what seems to happen, I feel healthy. However if I had full blown Systemic Lupus, I think I would also be at panic stations. The difference, akin to testing positive to HIV, but never having full blown AIDs! Many people live for years with HIV, never go onto AIDs. Likewise I tested positive to all this in 1992 and am still alive and passing tests. Only once did I fail my urine tests, the Lupus was attacking my kidneys, but it was just a passing fight. Sometimes my lungs and heart are upset, but it passes. Unlike my Psoriasis which is permanent. I would not worry. They might be thinking along the lines of 'symptoms do not match diagnosis, let us check to see if we can find anything else'. Odd you mention the right groin area, because I have been hospitalised through this pain. All they found was inflammation and blamed it on my benign blood problem, of which there is no treatment. The right side of my body is also the one that gives me pain. The left side seems to be healthy! Even now after my infection, my right sinus is blocked, but the left one is fine? Honest I would not worry. Love and God Bless Gillian The whole imposing edifice of modern medicine is like the celebrated tower of Pisa- slightly off balance.
