Will you let us know if you find a good whole house water filtration system? This is on my list of things to do but I haven't known how to figure out what kind of system to get, and how to keep it semi-affordable. Thanks,

Yes, I really need to get a filter -- I *hate* dumping cold distilled water on my head!!!But I think we are going to get a whole house system so I'm waiting... I am still researching the right one to get.

What determines a "good" water filter has something to do with what is

in your water, as different filters have different strengths and

weaknesses. You can get your water tested through Orange Co Health

Dept for about $35, and that will tell you what you have and don't

have. Depending on that, you may or may not need a whole house

filter. You may be just as happy with shower head filters and a good

kitchen sink model. We have a whole house filter and it hasn't been a

happy cure-all. It was expensive, but it clogs readily as we have well

water, and has required a lot of fussing on our part.
