Stachybotrys and Asthma

Hi everyone. Thank for all the information. I work

in an office that about 6 weeks ago was found to have

some moldy files (they were sitting on the floor).

The next day, maintenance people came in and opened

the walls and pulled back the carpeting without even

thinking that it could be harmful. Well, a few weeks

later we found out that we had been exposed to

stachybotrys and a number of other toxic molds. The

firm that I work for has tried all it can to get rid

of the mold, but the damage was already done the

moment they opened the walls and pulled back the

carpet. I started having shortness of breath soon

after they opened the walls and finally went to a

doctor. He did blood tests to see if I was allergic

to the mold, but nothing showed up. I had pulmonary

function tests and it showed that I now have asthma.

He has me on some medication, but because I am a

smoker, I'm sure, but the doctor isn't that the asthma

is from the mold. Can anyone point me in the right

direction so that I can get the kind of diagnosis I

need to find out if the asthma is from the mold? I

did see the email about the tests for mold exposure.

Does anyone know if these are the tests I should ask

my doctor to do? I live in Fairfield County,

Connecticut, so if anyone knows of anyone who is

knowledgeable on this topic in this area, please let

me know. Thanks again.
