I went to the flight surgeon at a little military base for an ingrown

toenail and he said to go home and try this little remedy:

Get a piece of regular bacon with mostly fat in it and wrap the toe.

Cover the bacon wrapped toe with Saran Wrap. After awhile the skin will

be very soft and you can pull the nail out and clip it. No need for

surgery if it works.

It worked and I've spread the word about it ever since.
