Hi Rhea,

When I was weaned off the Prednisone, it took about 3 months to wean all the

way off. I did have liver pain, but it seems to have subsided somewhat. Now

the weight, that's a whole nother story........ I put on 30 lbs when on the

Prednisone and have only lost a few of it. I've tried but it's hard. When I

don't eat enough or try to diet, I feel weak and tired. I don't need that

since the AIH makes you feel that way anyway. You sound like you feel the

way most of us feel. Hope you're able to wean soon. I did feel better once

I was off the Prednisone.

Take care,

Ha...yup.lots of questions! Let's see...ok first liver pain.all I use is

heat..either a heating pad or hot water bottle..and I have also found that

stretching my arm up over my head while on my other side seems to relax the

surrounding muscles which also relieves a part of it. I take no pain meds

at all.....a Tylenol once in a very blue moon. You could count the number I

took in a YEAR on one hand. Advil can cause bleeding of my varices also

so.... Prednisone does make it very hard to loose weight...the best bet

you have is slow and steady..stay on a basic healthy diet and exercise..I

walk and dance....and have never felt that it makes my pain worse...maybe you

have costachondritis.an automimmune diseas.arthris family.that attacks the

ribs...this comes and goes with me..again I take nothing. I guess my best

suggestion is try the heat and simple basic yoga till you get more limber

then add exercising. Joanne

To anyone that is interested,

I am sure that I am sensitive to toxic molds. I have all of the classic sx. and black mold (stachy) was found where I was living. I take a lot of Vit. C, usually 20 grams a day and it seems to help my sx. The problem that bothers me the most is that I have some sort of dermatitis where my beard is and it causes my facial hair to grow in that cause inflamed bumps that are painful. I have fare skin so I am not predisposed to this sort of thing. All of the different treatments that I have tried have not worked. I just use tiple A oint. and this helps with the infection. I think that it is some sort of inflamatory response because when I am tired and overloaded with chemicals that I have unfortunately been exposed to in the general environment my face starts to get inflamed and itches as well as sinus congestion and weird neurological type sx.. to a degree that I can't think.

I was hoping that someone might know something about this condition. I remember reading something about it in a book on allergies but I can't remember which book. I have not found any information since.

Thanks

Mark

This list doesn't allow attachments so I can't read what you are

responding to.

BUT HHV-6 is part of a large family of viruses some of which are common

in CFIDS,

When I could not afford a likely pharmaceutical, I began to take

significant doses of officinalis tincture. I am MUCH better. Took many

months. I make my own from homegrown Lemon balm.

The part of that equation is adequate amounts of l-Lysine.

Hope this helps

Terry,

I don't think Bob answered your question about electrode placement, did he?

I cut some 4x4 cardboard pieces and covered them with foil. Then I folded an

old washrag over each square and sewed it on 3 sides and trimmed off the

excess material. I put four small alligator clips, that I got at Radio

Shack, on the ends of a 5 or 6 foot piece of lamp cord or speaker wire. I

connected one end with two alligator clips to the battery, and the other end

to the foil covered cardboards. You will want to separate the wires on one

end, so you can place the pads one in front and one in back. Wet the washrag

covers, squeeze them out and slide over the foil squares.

I think this should be good for chest colds, or any internal infection, as

long as you can put a pad on both sides of it. You can have someone help you

to place the one in the back, and put a piece of plastic behind it so you

don't get the chair wet, but don't put any plastic between the pad and you,

or you won't get any current.

Hope this helps.

Dick

This is a test message to see if a message can be sent to the forum using the

" Reply " option without actually going to the Group. It seems some

messages are making it through and others are not. What is the proper method to

send a message to the group?

This answers my question. You CAN use the " Reply " to send a message without

going to the Group.

I'd be very interested in a Bainbridge Island group. I live off of Sandy

Hook Road, close to the Agate Passage Bridge. If a groups is organized,

count me in.
