Guest guest
For some reason none of my Aspie sons mind getting haircuts. In fact the 2 year old comes in every week when I'm cutting one of his brothers' hair and wants one too. He's not fooled by my pretending either--he has to see his blond hair in the vacuum.Tired of itchy necks, I purchased a hair clipper with a built-in vacuum. It was only as much as a normal clipper with an extra set of attachments (which I needed anyway). That almost totally eliminates hair falling on the person getting the haircut--we don't even need to drape a cloth around his shoulders. I also have a ritual of cutting one head of hair every week before bathtime. Since I have 6 sons in rotation that allows some time to grow in between. Between the routine and the vacuum I seem to have avoided any Aspie aversion to haircuts.Dan
