Guest guest
In today's edition of our Cape Cod Times, there is an article by Lew Sichelman of United Features Syndicate concerning household mold. It is titled "There's a fungus among us, should we worry?". I tried finding it in the Times online edition but it is not there. Being an "Investigator", I checked the internet to see who Mr. Sichelman is and what are his credentials. Seems he has been a real estate agent, home inspector and now is a "mold expert". He also is a major writer for the real estate news and National Association of Home Builders. Enough said! I found these facts about Mr. Sichelman in less that five minutes. It seems the Cape Cod Times didn't have 5 minutes to find out who this guy supports. They give no byline about who he is so most readers figure he is an "expert". It just shows what a few reporters from the Cape Cod Times told me some years ago, they do not do investigate reporting. It shows that in this case they didn't. In the article he mentions that most mold is due to the materials used to build homes. Seems he "forgot" to mention negligent insurance companies, bad builders and corrupt inspectors. It is these people that cause the mold, not the materials. Ken
