Guest guest
Hi , My situation was that my husband was laid off and I receive no benefits, so I had to find a gov't subsidized insurance plan called Healthy Families. It's insurance for low income families and it just covers children. When Dylan was prescribed Abilify I was scared cause we can't afford it out of pocket. But with his new insurance it was only $10.00!! Can you find a similiar plan in your state? I think lithium is old school. See what you can see, I know it can be overwhelming and dealing with med insurance is a nightmare. Hang in there. Guest guest
I often have trouble affording all teh meds my three kids and myself need - all of us have asthma, my youngest has Aspergers and Tourettes and I have a few medical conditions I need meds for, and have often skipped mine so they get theirs, but then foudn their are a lot of online cupons and prescription help services for people who can not afford them - most psychiatrists have coupons form teh pharmaceutical reps or samples to give out and the local health department has resources too. I found a couple and listed them below but the internet is full of these - just takes some time to find them. Abilify isn't for everyone but it has helped my son and many others, I am sure if you discussed with your doctor and he/she felt it was the right med, they woudl find a way to help you afford it http://www.patientassistance.com/profile/bristolmyerssquibbcompany-90/ Bristol-myers Squihttp://www.patientassistance.com/profile/bristolmyerssquibbcompany-90/bb Patient Assistance Program For Abilify Back to Assistance Programs Summary Bristol-Myers Company was founded in 1887 by McLaren Bristol and Ripley Myers through the acquisition of Clinton Pharmaceutical Company in Clinton, New York.
