Guest guest
You know what's interesting.... I don't think it'd bother me one bit to just let them develop as they will, EXCEPT that I worry about The Future! How will my children survive? Jobs? Insurance? THAT is the biggest worry. I love watching their fascinating creativity, the Aspie jokes are a HOOT! My biggest fear is that they won't be able to work or have insurance. My oldest son at nearly 20 is struggling w/this. We are hopeful that college will work again, with supports this next time. He cannot find a job at this point (between the economy and his own personality stuff, it's not easy). He is so smart and capable, and works so hard when he loves what he's doing. It was most difficult with Matt when he was in school. When I brought him home to homeschool, he was much more compliant, kind, fun, relaxed, etc. but WOW, school just stresses him terribly. He takes Lexapro for anxiety, but no other meds have helped at all (and he's tried a lot!). He is now GF, and we're working toward CF.... I feel blessed to have my 6 kids, and especially blessed that they really do get along pretty well. I just hope they'll be okay when hubby and I are gone.... :: sigh :: I know, borrowing trouble.
