Not remembering what was said or did

My 6yo dd who has apies will say or do something (usually wrong), when I try and

correct her she will argue that " No I didn't " . We will go back and forth like

this a couple of times, I try to explain what she did and all I get is " No I

Didn't " . It's almost like she doesn't remember saying or doing the whatever

transpired. Ugh she can be so frustrating, that I will just drop it. Are others

having the same problem, does anyone have any ideas, or just by my dropping the

best. As they say pick your battles.
