Guest guest
Great that should bring some interest again. Thanks again, Beverly Weikert <weikert004@...> wrote: 4/6/02 TO ALL: I am sending a repeat of portions of a letter previously posted by me on March 29, 2002. In case the original message was missed by any, I am still seeking personal stories of toxic mold exposure for the binder mentioned at the bottom of the letter below. I realize you've probably been asked to share your stories a million times, but I am going to great lengths in an attempt to educate my state on this issue. They just don't seem to see it as much of a problem. Recent legislation pertaining to indoor air quality in schools was passed in Indiana, but only establishes annual testing to be done by the State Dept. of Health to identify and improve poor IAQ in schools. From what I understand, currently the State Dept. of Health does not test for species of molds...so I don't know how far this newly passed legislation will get us if the responsible parties do not conduct proper testing. Although, it is one step in the right direction. I am in Indiana, but am seeking stories from anywhere and everywhere....home stories, apartment stories, workplace stories, school stories... PLEASE CONSIDER SHARING YOUR PERSONAL STORY "IN YOUR OWN WORDS" 1 MORE TIME. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU'RE ABLE. Thank you in advance. Through the National Toxic Mold Coalition we will be able to educate on a national level. Hope you'll also join in our mission with the coalition and foundation too! For further information on either issue please read previously posted letter below. IF YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO OTHER GROUPS BESIDES SICKBUILDINGS FEEL FREE TO SHARE AND PASS ON THIS INFORMATION TO OTHERS WHOM MAY BE INTERESTED. Beverly Weikert (Portion of previously posted letter) March 29, 2002 RE: National Toxic Mold Coalition and Foundation Seeking Personal Stories Dear Friends, NATIONAL TOXIC MOLD COALITION AND FOUNDATION: It is here! We now have the opportunity to join as a united force to address the issues pertaining to toxic mold! I am pleased to inform you that the “National Toxic Mold Coalition and Foundation” has recently been formed. This organization was formed by Carroll-Bower after her family endured the devastation of both carbon monoxide AND toxic mold exposures; and subsequently learned how widespread these problems are. At this point she decided to develop a unified group where we can all work together toward common goals, as well as a Foundation to benefit victims of these exposures. I know this was a dream for many…and now it is reality. That’s not all! She is also presently working on a book titled “The Black Plague, Toxic Mold” and is intent on making a television movie and movie for the big screen with her company, Carroll Productions. She is accepting personal stories for her book. will be a great advocate in helping us fight these important issues. She not only has her personal experience, but also a diverse career background, resources, strong passion for environmental issues, and burning desire to foster changes. This is a woman on a mission whom seeks a GROUP on mission! I am honored to have been appointed as a board member to the coalition. I am excited to have the opportunity to meet other toxic mold survivors in person at the seminar being scheduled for September at Branson, Missouri. JOIN US IN OUR MISSION! “United We Stand, Divided We Fall” To learn more about the National Toxic Mold Coalition and Foundation OR to join as a member go to: www.geocities.com/marbme12/NTMC.html OR contact Carroll-Bower at: marbme12@... SEEKING PERSONAL STORIES: One last (personal) request: I will soon be going public with a toxic mold story. Since my state seems to be behind in the awareness of this issue, I am preparing a binder for educational purposes for the media and beyond. I would like to provide the media and others with personal stories written in the survivors’ own words. I have one local TV station that was very interested in this idea. Would you be interested in sharing your personal story in an attempt to promote much needed awareness in my state? If so, please forward your story to me ASAP at the address below. I will need as much contact information as you can provide as to prove that the letters were actually generated by separate individuals. While I cannot offer you money for your story, as I’m not writing a book, I hope you will still consider sharing with me as well. Who knows what small efforts such as this binder may lead to someday! I am also devoted to promoting awareness and changes. Remember, it’s strictly for educational purposes only. Teachers/Parents/Students: Please share your toxic mold stories too! FYI: A taskforce is currently being formed to investigate the nations problem schools. You can find more information about this taskforce at: www.mold-help.org To submit personal stories for Beverly’s Binder: 1) please type in black only; 2) provide as much information as your personal situation allows; 3) submit to me by April 14, 2002 (but the sooner the better!) 4) submit by ATTACHMENT please for easier printing; 5) SUBMIT TO: weikert004@... (a.k.a. weik004@.../I am currently having problems with hotmail e-mail services) Sincerely, Beverly Weikert Board Member, National Toxic Mold Coalition www.geocities.com/marbme12/NTMC.html Indiana Representative, Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings www.hadd.com Consultant to The Environmental Health Research Group www.myhealthrights.com
Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: mary flores Sent: Saturday, April 06, 2002 4:15 PM Subject: Re: [] IMPORTANT/SEEKING MOLD STORIES/NEW IN LAW Sounds like a good project for me to work on tomorrow unless our thunderstorms get too strong for me to turn on the computer. My mold story has no outcome yet but at least I can relay the water leak drama of two years and my crash course on the dangers of mold exposure resulting in the the utter destruction of our health. I'm still worried about my cats being in this apartment. When changing their litter box, I've noticed a steep decline in amount of excreta, loss of energy in both cats and the one cat going from being a big muscle-bound kitty, exuding health, then almost overnight becoming emaciated, losing too much hair and muscles seeming very atrophied. At least if we die in this apartment, somebody, somewhere will have our story. Betsy wrote: Great that should bring some interest again.
