Guest guest
Hello ! This may be common knowledge for some, I don't know ... But could anyone tell me if mold toxins may be responsible for female reproductive changes? (Is that a silly question? I feel like answering myself "Of course!") I am having problems after moving into a small house with unknown contaminants (and mold being the most likely). The only other thing I can think of would be the water from the well. I have been drinking well water from other sources without problem, but I just moved to this location in January. Any info would be welcomed. Thank you. Guest guest
I think there is a correlation between female reproductive problems in mold contaminated buildings, unfortunately the expert that came in and did the assessment doesn't seem to want to hear that. He said maybe the problems were caused by stress. Not that every other symptom that we were suffering could also be caused by stress. In a building with around 110 people working in it there were 20 women that had changes in their cycles, abnormal pap smears, cysts, fibroids, 1 miscarriage, 4 hysterectomies, coincidence, I don't believe that but the doctors " don't have any proof that mold causes these changes " . I'm getting ready to schedule my surgery now, just waiting for my sick time to build back up. >From: Stinkypouf@... >Reply- > >Subject: [] QUERY: Mold & Hormones >Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 01:58:05 EST > >Hello ! > >This may be common knowledge for some, I don't know ... > >But could anyone tell me if mold toxins may be responsible for female >reproductive changes? Guest guest
My husband and I were poisoned with severe amounts of toxic mold two years ago in an apartment. We had all of the symptoms high blood pressure, hearing loss, headaches, joint pain, muscle aches, confusion,etc.. We, of course, lost all of our possessions as well. However, the most hideous was Jim having 4 heart attacks in 11 days. He is still alive and on numerous medications for life. We have not had one doctor who understands the mold connection. The interesting result was he lost all of his testosterone. He now has to wear the testosterone patch daily. Yes, in my opinion, toxic mold will effect your hormones. He still has a severe rash on the palms of his hands which the doctor has had him using an over the counter athletes foot cream. If anyone knows of a doctor in Houston that can address these conditions in an educated way, I would appreciate someone letting me know. We've wasted our time and money with the others. Don't wait for a doctor to diagnose a hormone problem because of mold --go with your instincts. >From: " Hardisty " <mchardisty@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: [] QUERY: Mold & Hormones >Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 05:11:40 -0800 > >I think there is a correlation between female reproductive problems in mold >contaminated buildings, unfortunately the expert that came in and did the >assessment doesn't seem to want to hear that.
