Guest guest
Hello. I have a 2 1/2 year old Autistic son. We are doing everything we can to help him, including countless therapies, ABA, a DAN protocol and have just started the GFCF diet a month ago. Today I saw an article about a new drug being fast tracked by the FDA for the treatment of Autism. It was a digestive enzyme for protein. This was the first time I have heard of this and would prefer not to wait another year or more before I start something like this. Does anyone use digestive enzymes for their toddler, in addition to the GFCF diet? And if so, can you please give me a recommendation on a brand? Could there by any side effects and has your child experienced any? Also, I have been reading a lot about Nystatin or Diflucan. I am skeptical of prescriptions but have read that many children have extreme gains after taking one of these medications. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you so much to all that respond. We are only about 6 months into this but I want to do all that I can for my son on his road to recovery. Thank you again, Stacey
