Jimmy,

Thought I better ad to, the answers I gave to your

letter. It is very imperative that renters know their

rights. I have the Missouri Tenants Union just because

of what happened to us. However I will say that

renters rights in each state are only as good as the

inpectors of health depts. Many health depts do

excellent work, others don't. Thats when these cases

end up in court like mine.

In some states the only protection is " IMPLIED

WARRANTY OF HABITABILITY " and/or " CONSUMER FRAUD. "

There is a new " RICCO LAW " tha can really cause havoc

with Landlords who slumlord enacted as racketeering.

As you know that makes it a criminal action.

In my town I caused so much trouble the state enacted

a law forcing landlords to register their lease

property with the state within 30 days of purchase. I

tend to have a lot in common with Brockovich.

My Mother used to say, if you can't feed the dog,

don't get one.

I say, If you can't treat your tenants right don't buy

rental property.

Often renters seem to be treated less than the dog, or

neglected totally.
