Tests Find No Mold In Yankton Schools

Mold tests taken at Webster Elementary School and the Yankton High School

have determined both buildings are safe, the superintendent said.

On Feb. 11, the Yankton Board of Education hired ATC Associates, of

Roseville, Minn., to do a microbial assessment on a few discolored spots at

the schools.

Superintendent Joe Gertsema said Thursday that the test results have come

back and indicate neither building has a mold problem.

ATC Associates did recommend vacuuming the affected areas with a HEPA

filter, which Gertsema said the school already uses and is being done.
