The Sheridan School District closed some classrooms at both the high school and Chapman Elementary after air quality tests detected high levels of mold. Molds are quickly becoming a wide-spread problem everywhere. According to health experts, the more nasty types of molds cause breathing difficulties such as colds and respiratory infections. More serious cases can even put some in the hospital. " People develop fatigue, just tiredness like they have the flu all of the time, " said Heumann of Oregon Public Health. Health officials say the best way to combat mold in the home is to be attentive to what on the walls behind furniture. Professional testing for air quality can cost thousands of dollars. Often times the only way to fight mold is to tear out the affected areas of a home or building.
