Guest guest
My son takes Prozac also and has for many years.  I have never heard that increased appetite or weight gain was associated with it. Regarding Intuniv – we have had to tweak it several times since he started on it in May. One significant side effect he experienced initially was very low blood pressure which caused lightheadedness but this resolved. While Intuniv does help it is not as effective as the Abilify was. But, due to all the negatives we just don’t want to put him back on it. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Patti JourneySent: Thursday, December 16, 2010 8:49 PM Subject: RE: ( ) complusive eating My son is 20 and he weighs 304, I have told his doctor that I felt the prozac was causing his weight gain, but he wouldn't listen to me. He is obsessed with food too. I am so glad I saw your post because now I will ask the doctor about this medication and see if my son can change to it. Are there any bad side effects? plj> From: <denise092769@...>> Subject: ( ) complusive eating> > Date: Tuesday, December 14, 2010, 10:41 PM> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > hi my dj is 14 he has as and ocd anxiety problems> and paranoria and diabetic issues on sat we took jd> shopping to teach value of a dollar. we went to supermarket> and a price club we bought peanut butter i know he had it> for lunch on sun today tuesday it was two pack the jar is> real big 2lbs in each jar tonight i was gonna have some to> my surprised the first jar almost empty all thats left is if> you scrap it out man i was mad i didnt say anything yet his> eating out of control he over eating . food is a big issue> with him he has meltdowns over food> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
