Just for anyone interested, 20-20 did a report on laundry discs and

determined that they DO NOT get your wash clean and suggest that it is total

hype. There was actual lab tests performed which indicated that laundry

detergent was superior. Has anyone tried Dreft or Ivory Snow? It is a

detergent that you can use for babies, maybe that will help. There is also

Cheer Free which is free of dye and perfumes.

Diane,

Thanks for speaking up. I was hoping someone would mention the discs and

balls are shown to be less than what they report to be. We with P and PA get

sold enough " snake oil " .

Roy,

I in no way intended to imply that you were selling snake oil. Sorry for the

inference. I remember a couple years ago some people around my area selling

expensive laundry balls that were later found to be a hoax by many

researchers. I have no idea what kind of laundry disc you use. If they work

for you, that's wonderful! I would caution people to check out a product

before investing just as I am sure you would recommend to anyone else.

The snake oil referrence was from my own experience with my PA. There are so

many people I have run into who just have to tell me about this wonderful

remedy that the neighbor of the brother of their sister in law (or some such

long lineage) used and it cured him! Coming from people who have no idea what

I am suffering from and lump all forms of arthritis together in their mind,

it just gets darn annoying. With this list though, people are going through

the same thing as I am and have a good knowledge of what this stuff is all

about, what works well for them and what doesn't. And you are sooooo right

about some things working great for some people and not for others. Isn't it

amazing that we can react totally different to different treatments? And then

sometimes do absolutely nothing and have a clearing? Crazy! I wonder if this

type of thing complicates the research for new drugs in PA?

Sounds like you will have a household that has to stay on their toes 24x7

with a paramedic and a soon to be OB? WOW!! Kudos to you both!

Respectfully,

Shelli
