Guest guest
Hi All I was going to say something but have forgotten what it was? Oh yes, speaking. Many of you are concerned over the use of your hands, or disability setting in. I was too, but a few years ago now. Therefore I took myself off to a office in Town called 'Able', which is run by disabled people. Why was I there? Because I wanted to see how Computers were operated by disabled people. I was introduce to a 'Voice Recognition Program' called 'Dragon Dictate' It enables you to operate your PC with the spoken word, rather than using the keyboard. I do not think Dragon Dictate is available in USA, as you have your own 'Microsoft Voice Pro' their. All you do is install the program, go through the microphone level testing procedure and you are OFF! My brother sent me this for my last Birthday, having heard me rave on about it. Even I was impressed, but had to learn to sit on my hands to begin with and have patients. The program learns along with you, so the more I use it, the more is becomes accustomed to my voice and pronunciation, the faster it becomes. Therefore if the worst does happen, or I get an ache in my wrists or elbows, I just put my headset on and speak my letters, e-mails, you name it! Mom was annoyed said, " Bad enough you go around talking to that Bear, then the Dog, now you are talking to your PC! " Love and God Bless Gillian
