Hi

I need advise. Yesterday, my 12 yr old son got in trouble at school. Supposely he touched a girl on the leg and said "you have smooth legs". The kids and teacher all said that he did it. He says that it was a narrow isle to sit down and that he accidentally touched her on her tigh. He was besides himself since he got 3 days of ISS. School will end next week. He was crying and all crazy when my husband picked him up. "Why this things happen to him? People laugh at him all the time because he is so clumsy". I was at work and he call me because my son needed to talk to me about it. I don't like to issue punishment until I am face to face with him and we talk about the issue.

So, I told him no friends over for playing and will talk about it when I got home. So, he did. He was not happy, but when his friend came over, he told him he cannot play.

When I got home, we talked and I asked questions to see his reaction. To see if he was lying or not. So, I decided he told me the his truth. He was so sad this morning going to school and did not want to talk. I told him to just be quiet and take his punishment.

Is it a bad that I did't make a big deal about it and punish him longer? I really don't think that he will say something like that to a girl. He is so shy about girl stuff.

What do you think?
