Dear Group,

My family was exposed to high toxic levels of airborne molds

including Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Penicillium, and Stachybotrys,

as determined by IAQ testing done by Healthy Buildings.

We discovered this after my son was hospitalized for five days, three

of which he was on oxygen and according to his doctor he almost

died. The hospital labeled his condition as a " severe asthma attack "

on discharge. My son had never had asthma before or any related

symptoms.

During the exposure covering eleven months, all of us experienced

health issues such as flu like symptoms, chest pain, sore throats,

diarrhea, dizziness, sinus problems, vomiting, blurred vision, lower

back and joint pain, severe memory loss, trouble speaking and the

inability to comprehend someone speaking to us, redness, itching and

burning of the skin, teeth extractions and stomach cramping.

Since leaving the contamination we have received treatment for

chronic sinusitis, bladder infections, accelerated heartbeats, high

blood pressure, blood in the urine, chronic lower back pain, and

chronic respiratory symptoms. I think this is extremely significant

since we had always been extremely healthy before exposure. CT scans

showed we all now have sinusitis which we did not have before

exposure, and a CT scan of the brain showed a cerebral white matter

lesion prominently in the left frontal and left periatrial regions on

me.

My children and I are sick now most of the time, and symptoms linger

for months. My physician acknowledges something is going on but

without familiarity with toxic mold issues he is at a loss as to what

even to test for.

I am currently on state insurance and I am told if I get a written

referral by a toxicologist in Washington state then my doctor will

refer us. But I cannot get the referral outside the insurance due to

lack of funds. Does anyone have an suggestion on how I can beat

this catch 22?

Sincerely,

Feher
