Leading Indoor Air Quality Lab EMLab Launches MOLD UNIVERSITY

SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Microbiology

Laboratory, Inc. (EMLab) has announced the recent, highly successful launch

of its new MOLD UNIVERSITY seminar series for indoor air quality (IAQ)

professionals.

``Our Mold U seminars are designed for IAQ professionals who want to stay on

the cutting edge of IAQ disciplines relating to mold, sampling equipment and

methodologies, and report interpretation,'' said Gallup, EMLab's CEO.

``Our goal is to be the best resource for mold training and IAQ knowledge

available, and to help foster and maintain highest quality practices across

our industry.''

Industry Leaders

EMLab is regarded as one of the top commercial laboratories specializing in

the analysis of indoor air and surface samples for fungi, including mold,

yeasts and macrofungi, and also bacteria.

The flagship seminar in its program is ``Fundamentals of Mold, Biological

Sampling & Report Interpretation'', which is a full one-day training course

held monthly in San Francisco. The seminar is conducted by Gallup,

along with Janet Gallup, founder of EMLab and its Senior Mycologist. Both

are experts in their field. In addition, Dr. Harriet Burge, widely

considered the leading expert in Indoor Air Quality, frequently joins in the

question/answer segment and related IAQ discussions. Dr. Burge is EMLab's

Director of Aerobiology and chairs its Scientific Advisory Board.

Packed with Info

The seminar's topics include:

-- Fungi and their health effects

-- Sampling strategies and protocols

-- Sampling equipment, pros and cons, with demonstrations

-- Special sampling situations

-- Report interpretation; with discussion and interpretation of actual

sets of data

-- Data management; objectives, strategies and report formatting options

-- Using labs effectively (includes lab tour)

``This is a very informative course,'' says Rau of SMR Indoor

Environmental Solutions. ``I have attended many courses, but the MOLD U

format is unique. The interaction with industry experts is one reason this

program ranks among the best.''

The Mold U seminar provides a unique opportunity to learn from and

dialogue with mold and aerobiology experts. Added Gallup, ``We want

IAQ professionals to bring us tough questions from their field cases, and to

ask us their questions about mold and IAQ.''

In High Demand

``Mold U's seminars in March and April were sell-outs. Our upcoming seminars

on May 17, June 14 and July 26 are also expected to be sold out. Interested

IAQ professionals are encouraged to call and register early,'' said Dolly

Headley, Sales Manager of EMLab. ``The size of each class is strictly

limited to optimize the learning experience for attendees.'' Registration

information is available from Mold U at (800) 444-8160, or via the

internet at www.moldu.com.

Special dedicated training sessions can also be arranged. If you are

interested in a special MOLD U training program for your company, EMLab

encourages you to contact Dolly Headley to discuss your company's needs.
