I'm a little worried, but not freaking out as I'm sure this could be nothing.

Nate, who is 5 and has been in maintenance since April for ALL developed a limp

on Thursday. He is at 100% dosage on Methotrexate and Mercaptopurine. He goes

for his every 3 month sedation for his spinal chemo on Tuesday of next week. He

developed a cold over a week ago and has weathered it well. He is still somwhat

congested and has a cough, but that is it.

He seems more tired and worn out, which is probably from the cold. He started

walking funny on his left leg on Thursday night and we have noticed that he

doesn't seem to want to put his heel down and is walking on his toes.

He does jump on the leg, but started refusing to go down the stairs today,

scooting down on his butt instead of walking.

I know this isn't a relapse as we just had his counts checked 2 weeks ago, but I

do worry about necrosis of the bone caused by the steroid use.

Any experiences or ideas????

Tania,

I don't have any experience with this but just wanted to tell you I am thinking of you. I can so imagine the stress of Nate developing any sort of "new" symptom. What, if anything, have Kwon or Goodell said about this?

We are in 2204 if you get a chance to stop by on Tuesday. I am there until about 12:30. Eh- maybe scratch that- Dylan does have a cold and cough as well. I can wave through the window though. :) Hope Nate sails through sedation!
