Guest guest
Hi- Does he have a diagnosis? I don't think the school can DENY helping him! We were initially denied as well , but when I went in for the meeting to dispute it, I had documentation of diagnosis. I brought his dr. with us. I also had done tons of research and went in there knowing what we needed and was prepared to stand firm till we got it. He did get help. He too is bright and not a behavior problem so was low priority. Social /Emotional supports are just as important as academic help. Can you try again with the school? Good luck..and as you know..we have to be their biggest advocate. > > Hi, My name is Shirley and my son's name is DJ. He's 12. He has Asperger's, > capd, ocd and adhd. He's very bright so the school denied him assistance. I quit > my job to homeschool and I can't say I really know what i'm doing. His dad > doesn't help with this. He is in total denial. Any adivce would be appreciated. > Shirley >
