12 y.o. recently diagnosed with pdd nos

Hello,

My name is, , I have a 12 year old son with pdd nos. My son has

characteristics of ADHD and ASPERGERS. He entered middle school last fall(6th

grade). He has had a terrible year, he's being bullied, he's unable to do his

homework, the school has been mostly supportive but I am awaiting a decision on

an IEP, I think the school system doesn't want to give him an IEP because of

costs, because of our economy, the school system is operating on a shoestring

budget.

I need all the help and support that this group has to offer, I suffer with

chronic pain so I am already stressed, I just don't know how to help my son, he

has an emotional level of an 8 or 9 year old, and has a high intellect. Is there

anyone out there that knows about any local support groups in Cumming, Georgia?

Does anyone know what I should do about getting my son a tutor? I would like to

find a tutor that is familiar with children with learning disablities(he has a

language related disability). I don't want to go on and on, though I could. I

would greatly appreciate and and all help.
