Guest guest Posted February 14, 2002 Report Share Posted February 14, 2002 hi all, there has been a lot of talk lately about mtx and liver damage, etc. i had to quit taking it because my liver enzymes were always high. this was before celebrex,etc, so i had to take prednisone, big UGH! it's great that drs do these tests while we are on the meds, but why don't they check when we first start them. i started neoral last year, and my dermie was required to do blood tests before i started and every few months. well, come to find out, my liver enzymes were high before, and i wasn't on any meds. they have stayed the same all year, so nothing to worry about. but, if he hadn't none first, then he probably wouldn;t have let me stay on the neoral, which has been a life saver for my psoriasis! so , i guess my point is, when starting a new med, ask your dr about a pre blood test, it could save you a lot of aggravation! susan in ohio Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
