Guest guest
I had a friend who was helped almost immediately by eliminating the stress through this thing that would allow him to lie upside down. It took the pressure off of the nerves and allowed blood flow to the damaged area which aided greatly in healing. It costs about 186 dollars, but well worth it. It looks like a cot on that will lay back until you are upside down, yet lying comfortably strapped in on this cot. I have a catalog somewhere if you don't don't how to find such a thing or figure our your own way to get in that position comfortably. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I too had a herniated disc. I was in terrible pain, and ready to go to a surgeon until I did these few things. 1. Lay flat on your back and be still for as long as you can. Day in and day out. I laid flat on my back for a good month. Ate on my side, etc., 2. Took a homeopathic called mettalurgia something. Tellerum something. Ask a homeopath. It is a metal and will push the disk back in. The first day after I took it I could walk for the first time in months for a few minutes. Each day I was able to walk further and further. Will write tomorrow with exact name, as I kept the bottle. 3. Take lots of Vit. 3, pycnogenol, tumeric/ginger, any antiinflammatory. 4. No coffee. 5. I was on pain pills, had no feeling in my leg, could not lift my foot for two months. Homeopathy and complete bed rest is what saved me from the knife. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
I am having jaw surgury tommorow and need everyones prayers that everything goes okay... I broke my jaw in a car accident in 2005 (when I was 16) and it never healed properly. So they are going to have to go back in and break it again (luckly I will be a sleep because I know I would let them do it if I was awake!) Guest guest
Hello Friends, One day more before the surgery day for my son. He is on full liquid today and tomorrow will be clear liquids. The surgery is on Monday-July 11th at 7:15 am. I am requesting you all to please pray for us that the surgery is successful and God gives him strength to go through it and has a speedy recovery. I will definitely post with details as soon as I am able to do it. Thanks for all your support throughout this tough time from the time we found this group and learning the terms such as " achlasia " and " esophagus " , you know I could not even say the 2nd word correctly . It did help to pour my emotions here and ask so many questions and to read all the suggestion and opinions. Guest guest
He will do fine. My son had his surgery two years ago and I am amazed at how quickly he recovered. He woke up after surgery and they gave him something to drink and he was so happy at the feeling of the liquid easily passing into his stomach. He did have a few spasms at the hospital that were painful. Please keep us updated and I will being praying for him. Take a pillow for the ride home that he can hold against his stomach. Helps when you hit a bump in the road. Good luck. He will feel better on the other side. In a message dated 7/9/2011 4:44:05 P.M. I was told only about blood test, forgot to ask if it needs to be a fasting one or not. I will call them back tomorrow. As the surgery day is coming closer for my son, starting to get a little nervous. Surgery is scheduled for July 11th. May God bless him. He needs to be on liquid diet 2 days before and on clear liquid 1 day before the surgery. Clear liquids will be chicken broth, jello, Gatorade. What can he take for the liquid day? Thanks everyone for being there for us through this rough times. Guest guest
Your son has been in my prayers since the beginning of your posts and will continue. His life will begin a new after the 11th. He is in good hands and will have success as many of us have. Guest guest
My son was 17 and is 19 now. He was back practicing football within just a few weeks. When you see the smile on his face because he can swallow you will know you did the right thing. On Jul 9, 2011, at 7:43 PM, Preeti Mahajan <priti19.mahajan@...> wrote: > Thank you Maureen, and .
