Guest guest
With clozapine there have not been any clinical trials with kids with autism conducted. And it requires checking white blood cells. Also risk of seizures at high doses. Also it is metobolized by the p450 1A2 pathway which is the same as for zyprexa (olanzapine). I would stay away from 1A2 drugs ...has tylenol reduced his fevers? Tylenol is a 1A2 drug too. You can look a p450 drug charts to see what I mean. Look at the genelex web site. A good book if I didn't say it is " Clinical Treatment of Autism " by Dr. Hollander, you will have all the up to date info on drugs and what is recommended. Dr. Hollander does not recommend clozapine for the reasons given.
