Hello,

Our 12 year old's psychologist has suggested that he may have aspergers. We are

in the process of having teachers fill out the screeners. After that we are

going to set up some testing for him to determine if it is indeed Aspergers or

something else.

He has very poor social skills. He just doesn't seem interested in having

friends. He's very smart and does well in school. He does have a pretty short

list of interests. He's always been very interested in animals and has been

like a walking animal encyclopedia. He's also always avoided social situations

that involved more than our immediate family. He has a difficult time carrying

a conversation with even our immediate family. I do feel that he is somewhere

on the autism spectrum, whether that's aspergers or something else.

I don't know if any of this would be related to aspergers either. His ears seem

to turn red out of nowhere. Sometimes it's when he gets excited or is

concentrating. He seems to digest his food really quick. A lot of times he

goes to the restroom in the middle of eating. His pinkies are also curved.

He's very flexible. I know that probably has nothing to do with anything but

just in case.

Does anyone else have experience with these symptoms? Any recommendations for

supplements that may be helpful?

Thank you very much for your help
