Guest guest
I waited a long time, tried regular school and a special school and then homeschooling. I wish I had not waited. My son has improved by leaps and bounds with homeschooling. He is reading well despite being diagnosed with a reading disorder, he is retaining some math, again, despite have Dyscalculia. He is soaking up information like a sponge and just wants more and more. best of all, he's off meds - nothing for anxiety, angry, sleep (except some melatonin). he is eating and exercising better. He has gotten over many of his anxieties and seems to be much more social now than he was before. As for issues, he socializes with children and the other s word: socialization, at least now he is being socialized in a more consistently positive environment. I know it's not for everyone nor does it work for everyone. I think its like all other treatments, different results for different children. Someone once told me that children tell you when they're happy by their behaviour...my child is finally happy. Big sigh of relief.
