functioning Aspergers. She suggested we get a clinicial diagnosis through their

autism center. My husband and I didn't know anything about Aspergers or Autism

so we ran out and bought some books

behavior, his intelligence, his never ending interests in science (especially

the solar system), lining things up all the time, tantrums, food issues etc.

were all related. He is our only son so obviously we were devasted and worried

for him.  After the initial shock, we made the decision to do what we can to

learn as much as we can to help him get the help he needs. I don't know any

parents in my area to talk to or ask questions of. I will be attending my first

parents support group in early December so I'm looking forward to that. I'm so

relieved to find this group. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.
