Guest guest
Hi, everyone-- I just joined this group, and have tried to search the archives for this question, but wow, this is a busy group! :-) The search engine keeps stalling, too. Argh. Sorry! I'm not in the most patient frame of mind right now. I got my umpteenth " we feel another school would be better suited to your son's needs " letter today--fortunately, from a school we were interested in, not (this time) from a school my son attends. My 13-yo has been homeschooled and cyberschooled for years, but he and I are both really ready for him to go to high school next year. The problem is that I can't find a school I'm really happy with. There are a couple we will be visiting this year--the Janus School in PA and Veritas Christi in Ann Arbor--but other than that, I'm stumped. We can move anywhere in the US, but we can't pay more than about $12-15k (and that assumes I put my other kids in day care and find a job that nets that). I've spoken to a few people who love their school districts, but no one with kids who are in high school. I know no school is perfect, but does anyone *love* his/her child's high school? I believe my son is college-bound if he can improve his social skills. Academics aren't a problem. Thanks so much! in PA
