Financial Resources

I was looking though the archives and thought this would be good to post again. The social worker didn't approach us about financial resources until we were about 2 months into things. So we didn't have receipts saved for gas, tolls, etc. So I would check with the social worker about financial resources in your area. Anyway this message was posted in 2004 so I don't know how current some of the information is.

In the mail today, I got a list of cancer resources that offer

financial assistance. I personally do not have experience with any of

the organizations, so if anyone else does, maybe they can

comment. Also, I do not know what the requirements/qualifications are

to be eligible for funds. You will have to contact the organizations

listed below and get the information, or ask your hospital social

worker for additional assistance.

Lymphoma Research Foundation

Offers financial assistance 800-500-9976, www.lymphoma.org

American Cancer Society

Offers transportation assistance, 800 ACS-2345, www.cancer.org

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Childhood leukemia Foundation

The National Children's Cancer Society
