Guest guest
I was looking though the archives and thought this would be good to post again. The social worker didn't approach us about financial resources until we were about 2 months into things. So we didn't have receipts saved for gas, tolls, etc. So I would check with the social worker about financial resources in your area. Anyway this message was posted in 2004 so I don't know how current some of the information is. In the mail today, I got a list of cancer resources that offer financial assistance. I personally do not have experience with any of the organizations, so if anyone else does, maybe they can comment. Also, I do not know what the requirements/qualifications are to be eligible for funds. You will have to contact the organizations listed below and get the information, or ask your hospital social worker for additional assistance.
