Guest guest
I noticed that my 18 mo old’s eczema was getting better when we started the Biokult and now it’s flaring up again (we’re up to 6 per day). I guess this could be a detox reaction? I think everyone else is right about fat being the key to satiety (sp?). Dr. Natasha pretty much said as much. As for the butter/dairy and eczema... We went off all dairy except ghee for several months and my chronic hand eczema went almost entirely away, then as soon as I reintroduced just 1 tsp/day of yogurt, it came back with a vengeance. However, Dr. Natasha said to push through it, it is a detox reaction, so now I'm up to 4 tsp/day of yogurt and I'm just noticing that the eczema is subsiding somewhat. We shall see... My impression is that yogurt can actually be a good way to detox gently but maybe skip the butter for now. Even though butter is listed as the thing to try first, before yogurt, Dr. Natasha told us that yogurt was actually the better one to start with (but not kefir, too powerful!). She does contradict herself, but it seems to be going okay for us. I'll keep you posted on the eczema experiment.
Guest guest
My eczema gets worse when I am de-toxing. Very annoying as the whole reason I am on this diet is to decrease my eczema and yet it causes an eczema flare. I tell myself it is temporary, but that is small comfort when I feel like itching myself raw every day...
