Guest guest
Dear Randi and anyone else who is starting Arava or considering it: I strongly encourage you to ask your doctor for a prescription for Prilosec twice a day when you begin Prilosec. If that turns out not to be enough, add Tagamet in. Watch your blood pressure too. That said, it works really well, and it is very " easy " to take compared to shots. It did take seven weeks to work for me--so don't lose heart! I had to use pain meds for several weeks before it kicked in. Enbrel wore off several weeks before Arava started working for me. It seems to me that the Arava takes about as long as the Methotrexate does to work the first time.
Guest guest
To Randi, I take Arava and MTX and Celebrex, etc. But most importantly I take Prilosec too. It has really helped. I take on e in the evening before bed, but also take one in the morning if things are bad. Good luck! Amy
