Guest guest
I haven't posted in a while. I just wanted to tell everyone that Margie reached her " cure " date on Nov. 28, 2005. I had her back to oncology last week. She goes to pass out with her monthly cycle. It is her blood pressure...ok, we can handle that. She just needs more fluid intake. She still has a horrible looking skin rash that came during tx and never got better. They say it is her hair follicles. She needs her pacemaker changed this year. We are working on seeing if they will pull her port at the same time. Yup, original medi-port from 6/2/1998. She has finally started to stay somewhat healthy and all the docs think it can come out now. Well, the surgeon who put it in is still questioning if we should leave it being it has been the only line they could keep open on her in the past when she got so terribly sick. Knock wood she hasn't had any serious infections since we almost lost her back on 2/14/03. I must admit a part of me will be very glad to see it go and another part is afraid to take it out. Camp Sunshine is having a mini DS weekend in the beginning of March. I am hoping to be able to go with Margie. I hope some of you will be there.
