The F.B.I. continues to investigate the Manhattan-based, Medical

Determinations. They were a Medical Service Bureau, acting as a middle-man

for over 600 insurance companies, government agencies, and corporations in 42

states. Their customers included, besides the insurance industry, the Transit

Authority, various airlines, hotels, and the U.S. Postal Service. Mr.

Sherman wrote a series of articles in the New York Post in January and

February of 1997, which exposed alleged violations concerning the changing of

I.M.E. reports, after they were written by the medical consultant.

If you believe you are a victim of this company changing an I.M.E. report,

concerning your medical status, please contact the F.B.I. in New York City,

at 212 384 1000. Ask for the Unit handling Medical Determinations. You must

be able to substantiate your concerns.
