Ok I am compiling a list and need the help from some of you as alot of you have

all been sooo helpful thus far. My son is starting a new school next week and I

am needing to get a list together of tendencies, and meltdowns as well as

obsessive behaviors. His old school ignored his 299.0 diagnosis of autism

spectrum disorder and instead focused on his ADHD and ODD. I have made a list of

all of his behaviors and tendencies as well as anxiety...

I would love to hear what other parents have issues with their aspie kids as

well, for instance, in a meltdown Ashton climbs under desks and hides or he runs

out the door and sits in the hall...he also obsesses and focuses on things

throughout the day ie his cousin will be going to the same school and he keeps

saying that " after school I am going home with Todd " and when I say no that Todd

goes to daycare he argues with me and obsesses all day...

I would love to know what kind of overstimulation \/sensory issues your child

has and how you go about helping in situations like this.. some days I read

posts and I think OH MY that is exactly what ashton does...I would love to have

a post I can refer to and hear how you deal! So that I can compile a list of the

same issues Ashton may have and how you handle them, so that we too can try

those things. We are very new to this and still do not know what to do about

obsessive behaviors and meltdowns especially at school...His old school would

send him to the office and call me to come and get him as they did not know how

to get him back to class...

Thank you and any help and stories would be sooo much appreciated!
