Guest guest
My DS is 5 now and still won't go to the potty 75% of the time. I know he can do it, but he doesn't want to. It doesn't even bother him to be wet or soiled. We thought putting him in regular pants, last Christmas, that he would get over this. I'm tired of cleaning up after him. Has anyone else had this problem?
Guest guest
Yes, we were able to get him trained except at night. He just turned 11 and now he has been dried for almost a month. I thnk he had 1 accident so far. Our doctor said it is very common. Very deep sleepers and poor self awarness. Guest guest
e, My daughter is 5 and just within the past few months has become (mostly) daytime trained, and we are now staring on the nighttime training. It is a long hard struggle, and the thing that finally worked with our daughter was to take the pressure off, not push at all, and give her a rewards chart, with pictures of her rewards next to it. Also made her start changing her own wet/dirty pants. She did not like doing this at first, but then I think made her feel more in control and confident after a few weeks. It also gave her extra incentive to go in the potty as there is less clean up needed. I wish you the best of luck, it is a long hard struggle, during which I have been in tears many times.
