The students embraced the nick names and it became part of the glue that united the students. E.C. Guest guest
Very interesting--and Kudos to you--for being so innovative and progressive! I would like to say that my son's friend who lives down the street is a gifted student--my son's best friend and only close friend. But he names kids and things--and he and my son have nicknames for everyone they meet! I never really thought much about it as we have another non-autistic childhood friend who does the same thing.
