Hi!

Has anyone made the cashew butter tortilla recipe in the 'Eat Well Feel Well'

cookbook?

I can't figure out what kind of appliance needed and I would love to have some

kind of wrap

for sandwiches.

I've thought about making crepes but don't have a crepe pan either.

Thanks,

I haven't made them yet because they use a tortilla press. You can buy them anywhere, Wal-mart, etc., but I'm looking for one without the teflon coating. No luck yet. For a crepe pan, just use a small skillet, 6" or so. Usually an actual crepe pan is more rounded, instead of flat on the bottom, where the sides and bottom meet would be hard to distinquish. The teflon-free tortilla press is called your hands. Latin American people made tortillas long before the press was invented. I don't know about the consistency of the cashew butter tortilla dough, but if it is thick enough you should be able to form it by hand. A Google search found several sites with instructions. One said to press with the bottom of a bowl, and to put the dough between layers of plastic wrap.Let us know how this works with the cashew butter tortilla recipe if you try it.- www.krautpounder.com
