Guest guest
Yeast overgrowth is a big cause for visual stims...especially if he's doing a sideways glance...watching things with his head turned to the side. You don't sound like a ding bat at all...I didn't know about the sulfer/ole connection...I've had my daughter on OLE for three weeks now for PANDAS. Her response has been amazing! Shes been trying to eat a lot of sweets( usually a sign her yeast is up) and she's been really emtional and mean. I thought it was from a food slip up, but now I'm thinking it might be sulfur making yeast flare up.Darn...maybe I should stop it while I get the yeast back in check? Guest guest
> Are they mostly viral related? At my house, they were caused by yeast, viruses, and B vitamin deficiency, especially B1 and B12. For some kids, they are caused by vitamin A deficiency. >>Are there any other signs I can look for that points to virus issues? Here are some ideas http://www.danasview.net/virfile.htm >>The one thing he does is holds things an arms length away and shakes them back and forth really fast. Or puts his hands up to his face and makes gestures with his fingers. These are what everybody calls visual stims, right? Those are visuals, yes. > OLE isn't good for kids with sulfur/phenol issues right? It is high phenol but is very helpful for viruses and strep/other bacteria issues. You might find that giving it with No-Fenol enzyme helps. >>If it is viral, I read that's really good, but also read that we shouldn't use OLE. What can we use, other than Rx? Virastop ok? Virastop is good. I had the best results [eliminated viruses and also corrected immune system] with vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, and lysine. Guest guest
WOW! Thank you SO much ladies! This is so helpful to me. I'm a little intimidated about going down the viral path! So far, we've just dealt with yeast, diet and supplements to support the sulfation pathway. This makes it a little less scary! Thanks again, Amy > > Are they mostly viral related? > > > At my house, they were caused by yeast, viruses, and B vitamin deficiency, especially B1 and B12. Guest guest
I'm sorry, thought of something else. Once, I thought I saw a little tiny wart on his hand. The next day or so, it was completely gone, just vanished. I thought it was strange. I also saw what I thought was a cold sore once, but my husband didn't think it was one. I do know he's had canker sores, but we thought they were an oxalate issue. Does this sound like viral stuff? It does to me. Thanks! Both warts and cold sores were viral at my house, and eliminated with lysine. Dana
Guest guest
You can get cold sores (herpes) in your fingers! I had no clue until my daughter had five of them in her finger. I thought she'd been bitten by a spider or something. So, it may not have been a wart it could have been a cold sore. Dang viruses!
