Guest guest
That's for sure. Our 28-year-old son who has Down syndrome has just been diagnosed with B-cell ALL. It was discovered when we took him in with a temp of 101.8 and pneumonia. He can't understand why he still feels sick when he is back home and over the pneumonia. Tomorrow he starts outpatient chemo and I'm going to get the ChildLife specialist to come over and bring some of his/her materials so we can tell him in the gentlest way possible. The concept of feeling worse before you get better is going to be a tough one. He had a good day today though. A unit of whole blood goes a long way. > > Hmm, interesting article except for the fact that they say " except for a > rare paediatric leukaemia " they don't get cancer. > > I think maybe they need to come talk to us, cos our kids didn't have a > rare form of leukaemia. > > in Australia >
