Friends - Please (please) do not use " digest # " as the subject line. Doing

this makes it extremely difficult to follow threads (topics or

conversations). If there is a post you want to comment on, it is okay to

hit " reply " - then edit out all but the part you want to focus on - most of

you are excellent at this - then, change the subject line to the subject of

the specific post. When you leave it as " Digest " then the thread gets

tangled or lost.

I agree with . We can't educate others about the hazards of

mycotoxins - specifically those produced by stachybotrys, aspergillus and

penicillum - when we don't differentiate. We live in a world - thank

goodness - filled with organic life. Personally, I think of molds in

general as allergens - useful but annoying if we get in their space - with

the exception of this very small subset we call toxic molds. Just like the

folks involved in food science came to realize the harm caused by aflatoxin

in our food supply, we are trying to raise the awareness of people to the

potential harm caused by sharing space with this subset group of toxic

molds. In order to do this, we need to be more circumspect in our language.

Otherwise, we won't be taken seriously.
