Guest guest
Hi all--I just tried to get caught up on over a week's worth of messages. Life has been too busy for computer time between our new flock of sheep (being raised for people's freezers this fall), our chickens (75 more arriving in a few days and 50 awaiting D-Day the following week), and our garden (in a few minutes of picking today, I filled up a 5-gallon bucket just with yellow squash! There will be that much more tomorrow, too.) Then, last week, for our 28th wedding anniversary, my husband said we could buy an 8 y.o. Amish Jersey cow! Now I don't have to parse out our precious bought (undercover, since it's illegal to sell raw milk in TN)raw milk, and we can make kefir to our hearts' content! This is important to us, since we are only using kefir grains (1 T 2X/day) as a probiotic for our two with autism. I just thought y'all could rejoice with us for our new family member. BTW, we named her " Annie " since the Amish just called her " Jerz " , which is pretty much what all Amish Jersey cows are called. There's a piece of trivia for you! :-) in TN
