Guest guest
Okay, so we saved up all year and bought a great above ground pool. One that will give us years of fun and relief! The kids are so excited, and love to be in the water as much as we will allow! Okay, so, that said, we also know that kids will be kids, and for added safety added a pool fence around said pool. Our ASD kid doesn't get "fear" or "caution". I can't use scare tactics or threats that he won't get to go swimming, as it just doesn't work with him. Sigh. We are new to the diagnosis, have not rec'd any "outside" assistance with ABA, etc. and are reaching out to you more experienced caregivers to get some pointers to where he can have fun, and I don't worry all the time (ok, I know that's a stretch, LOL!) Thanks for your input!
