For me this is the medical 'Get Out Clause' after the " This drug is not a cure but will stop it in its tracks! " I have been on the receiving end of both those medical comments and wonder if the Rheum's are trained in " Assertiveness Training " , the " Repeating Record! " From what I understand, they start you on the minimal dose. The when you return complaining that the pain is back, they increase the dose. That may work for a few months, as soon as you return they up the dose again. Now there comes a POINT in time, where if they UP the dose again, you are talking lethal dose, so the Rheumy says, " Well I do not understand this, I have had great success with other patients on this treatment, therefore it must be YOU! " Me, well I spent my time in the waiting cafe with my fellow arthritics, where we discussed the treatments. Odd because ten of my fellow arthritics had been through MY treatment system, whereupon it did not work and each had been told it was working GREAT for other patients, therefore the problem was with them! Unless you spend time talking about treatments with fellow arthritics, guess you would go around believing that you are an ENIGMA, because the treatment work for the 15,999 but failed for the one! I soon realised that the long term patients I met every month at my Clinic, were not improving. One man was BRIGHT ORANGE, even the whites of his eyes. He remained like that for several months, and I have not seen him since! As for exhaustion, I asked the Rheumy in England, whereupon he replied, " Even normal healthy people would like more energy, if only we could supply it! " Love and God Bless Gillian
