Hi Meg

Our son ( almost 3 ) does this. He usually does it most when he

is tip toe running through the house ( stimmy ) I still have not

found anything i can say for sure helps. I added s aloe vera

juice and it did seem to help but temporarily. Then we lowered his

enzymes and that helped. Also he does it more on any B vitamins

so we cannot give these in anything above RDA. I do think its

more a bio thing that a stimm though as sometimes he will do it

in his sleep for a very short time ( weird huh? ) Sorry I dont have any

real answers for you..still trying to figure it out but at least you know

your son is not the only one : )

Subject: Heavy Breathing

It seems no matter what we have done, our son continues to breathe

heavily out of his mouth, almost like hyperventilating. Has anyone

else dealt with this, and what have you done to help eliminate it? We

have been aggressively treating yeast, which I assumed it was, but now

I am not sure. Thanks.

The hyperventilating can be related to ammonia buildup -it's a built in

mechanism to rid oneself of the ammonia. We have had this periodically.

Reducing protein intake and adding some yucca[supp] has helped my

daughter with this.
